Isom Road
San Antonio, Texas
Client: City of San Antonio
This project involved the design and reconstruction of 2,100 linear feet of Isom Road from Ramsey to US 281. Isom Road was upgraded from a two-lane collector street to a two-lane street with a continuous center turn lane and the realignment of the intersection at Oasis and Portland. The roadway design included new curbs, curb inlets, sidewalks, signage, pavement markings, and signalization. The drainage design involved the design of a new storm water drainage system, upgraded bridge class structure, and the replacement of a cross drainage structure at US 281. This project also required the design and replacement of all sanitary sewer and water distribution mains within the project limits. Maestas also prepared the Traffic Control Plan, Storm Water Protection Prevention Plan, cost estimating, bidding and construction documents, and performed all construction observation. Maestas performed extensive coordination with AT&T to ensure proper relocation of an existing telephone conduit located under an existing 10’ X 10’ box culvert
